#GenderJustWorld

We demand a Gender-just World: one where survivors of gender-based crimes find justice, accountability is the norm, and laws protect everyone equally.

This Orange the World, through our work in international criminal law, we’re driving this vision forward by advocating for inclusive legal reforms, from sexual violence and gender persecution to reproductive violence and intersectionality.

Join us in creating a gender-just world for all.

Our Work on Gender-based Crimes

#NoExcuses

From November 25 to December 10, the world unites for the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence, an annual campaign to amplify the urgent call to end violence against women and girls (VAWG). Violence against women is the most pervasive human rights violation globally, impacting 1 in 3 women in their lifetime.

As we approach the 30th Anniversary of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Action, this year’s campaign emphasizes accountability, resourcing, and recommitment to ending violence.

Together, we can eliminate violence in all its forms—because there is #NoExcuse.

Why This Matters
  • Every Day, Every Space: Violence occurs in private homes, workplaces, communities, and digital spaces. In 2022 alone, nearly 89,000 women and girls were murdered, with most killed by intimate partners or family members.
  • A Global Crisis: 736 million women have experienced physical or sexual violence globally. Femicide rates are increasing, and millions of girls remain at risk of child marriage or female genital mutilation by 2030.
  • Intersectional Impact: Factors like race, ethnicity, disability, and socioeconomic status intensify the risks of violence, demanding comprehensive, inclusive solutions.
