Farewell to the Executive Director
On 7 December, the Women’s Initiatives for Gender Justice (WI) staff and Board along with 130 guests bid farewell to our Executive Director, Brigid Inder, OBE, who has served the organisation in this leadership role for the past 15 years.
Brigid was warmly thanked for her visionary leadership, her contribution to the gender justice movement and her prioritisation of the leadership and voices of victims/survivors, and for the impact that the organisation has had in the international and gender justice fields over the past decade and a half.
‘Brigid, you leave a thriving organisation with vibrant programmes, a great team of people and partners, smart strategies to be built upon, an impressive and ground-breaking body of work and a sound institution for which you have our heart-felt thanks. Your departure is a loss for us and for the field of international justice and as we move forward the Women’s Initiatives will be inspired by your work and continue to thrive and carve out new paths towards gender justice and equality’, said Gabrielle McIntyre, Chair of the Board of the Women’s Initiatives for Gender Justice.
Watch the farewell video made for Brigid by the Board, staff and partners with a special guest appearance by Lord William Hague, the former Foreign Secretary of the United Kingdom.
