🔹 Women Human Rights Defenders Anniversary

This gathering marks 20 years of the WHRD International Coalition and 10 years of WHRD MENA. At a time of increasing repression and exclusion, this event honors the resilience of Women Human Rights Defenders, shares their stories, and strengthens collective commitment to justice. Through music, art, and activism, we will remember, resist, and reimagine a future built on solidarity.

🔹 Innovative Approaches in Response to Conflict-Related Sexual Violence

Justice systems must be survivor-centered, adaptive, and effective in addressing conflict-related sexual violence (CRSV). In this session, Women’s Initiatives for Gender Justice and JurFem – the Ukrainian Women Lawyers Association, will discuss legal responses to CRSV and explore ways to strengthen justice for survivors.

🔹 Gender Justice & the Crimes Against Humanity Treaty Initiative

As the UN General Assembly moves forward with a Crimes Against Humanity treaty, we must ensure a gender-competent, survivor-centric, and intersectional approach. This event, hosted by the Global Justice Center and Gobierno Mexico, brings together states, activists, and legal experts to shape a treaty that upholds gender justice.
