ICC’s Policy on Sexual and Gender-Based Crimes
On 7 December 2014, the Office of the Prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC) launched its Policy on Sexual and Gender-Based Crimes, at UN Headquarters in New York.
Speakers included: HE Ms Catherine Samba-Panza, President of the Central African Republic; HE Mr Zeid Ra’ad Zeid al-Hussein, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights; HE Mrs Zainab Hawa Bangura, Special Representative of the UN Secretary General on Sexual Violence in Conflict; Mrs Angelique Kidjo, UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador and Award Winning Singer-Songwriter; and Ms Brigid Inder, OBE, Women’s Initiatives for Gender Justice Executive Director and Special Advisor on Gender to the Prosecutor of the ICC.
