On 28 April, the Women’s Initiatives for Gender Justice launched our publication Women’s Voices: A Call for Peace, Accountability and Reconciliation for the Greater North of Uganda in The Hague at the Women’s International League for Peace and Freedom (WILPF) 2015 Conference, ‘ Women’s Power to Stop War: Uniting a Global Movement’.

Women’s Voices is a story of grassroots advocacy for peace, justice and reconciliation in northern Uganda. The launch featured a young woman formerly abducted by the LRA who talked about her experience and escape from the LRA and her work now as an advocate for other young women affected by the war in the Greater North of Uganda.
