Special Issue #4 on Lubanga Judgement now available
The December 2012 Special Issue of Legal Eye on the ICC is now available. This Special Issue is the fourth in a series on the first trial Judgement by Trial Chamber I in the case against Thomas Lubanga Dyilo, issued on 14 March 2012. In this final Special Issue of the series, we describe the observations submitted by the Women’s Initiatives for Gender Justice to the ICC on ensuring a gender-perspective in the reparations process. In the previous three issues, we analysed the Trial Chamber’s approach to crimes of sexual violence, its findings on Lubanga’s individual criminal responsibility for the crimes with which he was charged, and the Chamber’s findings on the Prosecution’s investigation techniques and use of intermediaries in its investigations, respectively.
