On the EU Day Against Impunity, the Global Initiative Against Impunity (GIAI) issues a strong and urgent call to action. As international justice mechanisms face increasing threats, silence is complicity.

Armed conflict, mass atrocities, and state violence are on the rise. Victims and survivors are being failed by selective inaction and double standards.

📌  We call on the EU and its Member States to take bold, coordinated action to:

• Uphold the integrity of the ICC and ICJ
• Execute arrest warrants and support investigations
• Protect civil society and human rights defenders
• Guarantee meaningful access to justice for victims
• Sustain support for accountability mechanisms and local organisations
