Women’s Initiatives facilitates capacity-building workshop
Following the Justice for All? Conference, the Women’s Initiatives for Gender Justice will facilitate a capacity-building workshop on domestication of the Rome Statute to advance gender justice for 45 participants from national human rights institutions and women’s and human rights organisations in the Asia-Pacific region.
Against the backdrop of the Conference, the workshop will enable practitioners and advocates to discuss the value of the Statute and the ICC system in addressing gender injustice, and the role of domestic jurisdictions in fostering a global system capable of addressing human rights violations, particularly those committed against women, by fully ratifying and implementing the Statute.
