A coalition of Palestinian women’s human rights and peace advocates have responded with disappointment to the recent visit by the ICC Office of the Prosecutor to Palestine and Israel. According to the statement below, the Coalition is disappointed that the delegation did not visit the Gaza Strip, ‘the site of most of the war crimes and where women have been most systematically impacted’. Coalition members are also disappointed that the delegation did not schedule any meetings with Palestinian women’s organisations during their visit. The Coalition calls on the ICC Office of the Prosecutor to conclude the preliminary examinations and to begin the investigation stage into the allegations of war crimes.
