Presentation to the Assembly of States Parties’ Committee on Budget and Finance

In Statements by Admin

Executive Director Alix Vuillemin recently presented to the Assembly of States Parties’ Committee on Budget and Finance at the ICC, addressing the urgent need for gender-sensitive institutional development. Despite years of effort, 30% of ICC staff still experience workplace harassment—a statistic that calls for immediate action.

The Executive Director urged for stronger support of the ICC’s Focal Point for Gender Equality and the implementation of the Trust Fund for Victims’ upcoming Gender Action Plan. By advocating for Gender-Responsive Budgeting, we aim to ensure resources are allocated to effectively reduce gender inequality within the Court.

Joined by colleagues from the Coalition for the ICC, the International Bar Association, and Al Haq, this presentation underscored our collective commitment to strengthening the ICC and advancing gender justice.
