The Women’s Initiatives for Gender Justice will be participating in the 57th session of the Commission on the Status of Women, held in New York from 4 to 15 March 2013. The Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) is a functional commission of the UN Economic and Social Council, dedicated exclusively to gender equality and the advancement of women. This year’s priority theme at CSW is the elimination and prevention of violence against women and girls.

At this year’s session of CSW, the Women’s Initiatives will be co-hosting an event together with the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and will be speaking at a number of other events. For more information about our joint event with the UK, see here.
