On 11 June 2024, the Women’s Initiatives for Gender Justice, together with Dr Rosemary Grey, the International Institute of Social Studies, the Legal Mobilization Platform, the Strategic Litigation Project, the Global Justice Center and the Sydney Centre for International Law (University of Sydney) were pleased to co-host a hybrid conference on Reproductive Violence in International Criminal Law.

The event brought together over 60 in-person attendees at the International Institute of Social Studies in The Hague and 230 online participants from around the world, including judges and other legal practitioners, scholars, survivors and activists, providing a platform to discuss a wide spectrum of reproductive violence and accountability options within the existing international criminal law framework.
