What can civil society and experts do?

We call on all partners to take full ownership of the Principles by:

• Uploading the documents to their own online platforms;
• Raising awareness around the documents:
  • Through social media;
  • By writing blogs posts or opinion pieces on the topic;
  • By developing talking points to use in relevant meetings and conferences;
  • By using it in their work and referencing to it;
  • Using it in (in-house) trainings.

What can states do?

• Raise awareness about The Hague Principles:
  • Through social media;
  • By writing blogs posts or opinion pieces on the topic;
  • By developing talking points to use in relevant meetings and conferences.
• Let us know when high-level meetings, conferences or events are taking place that the documents could be tied to.
  • Assist in organising events in the margins of relevant conferences.
• Provide financial support to the implementation of the documents
• Acknowledge/endorse the Key Principles for Policy-Makers.
