This year, the UK Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) is marking the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender Violence from 25 November until 10 December with a series of blog posts on preventing sexual violence in conflict on its 16 days campaign Tumblr. On 7 December the series featured a post by Brigid Inder, Executive Director of the Women’s Initiatives for Gender Justice, on the current situation in Eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC).
