The Women’s Initiatives for Gender Justice is calling on the Office of the Prosecutor to properly argue the case for charging forced circumcision as a form of sexual violence following the amendment to this charge announced on 8 March 2011 by judges at the ICC. The charges relate to the ICC’s investigations in Kenya and their case against three political figures for their alleged responsibilities in the 2008 post-election violence.
