Women’s Initiatives participates in Roundtable on Child Soldiers

On 15 December 2011, during the tenth session of the ICC Assembly of States Parties in New York, the Office of the Special Representative for Children and Armed Conflict organised a Roundtable on ‘Children and Youth at the ICC: Participation, Protection and Reparations’. The Roundtable was moderated by the Special Representative herself, Ms Radhika Coomaraswamy. Panelists included Brigid Inder, Executive Director of the Women’s Initiatives for Gender Justice, Silvana Arbia, Registrar of the International Criminal Court, Elisabeth Rehn, Director of the Board of the Trust Fund for Victims, and Grace Akallo, a former child soldier from Uganda and co-founder of the Network of Young People affected by War.
