On 5 October, the ICC Office of the Prosecutor (OTP) released a statement regarding a visit by a delegation from the Office to Palestine and Israel from 5-10 October, 2016.

According to the statement, the purpose of the visit by the OTP is to ‘undertake outreach and education activities with a view to raising awareness about the ICC and in particular the work of the OTP; to address any misperceptions about the ICC and to explain the preliminary examination process’.
