Election of Six New ICC Judges

In Uncategorized by Meg Williams

In December 2017, six new judges will be elected to the International Criminal Court (ICC) during the Assembly of States Parties (ASP) in New York.

With five women judges completing their terms and leaving the ICC bench, only one of the 12 remaining judges is female. This is the lowest representation of women on the bench in the ICC’s history.

Today, the Women’s Initiatives for Gender Justice is launching our campaign for the election of six female candidates from under-represented regions to the bench of the ICC. #DiversityInLeadership

See more here and join the campaign by talking to your government about who they will be voting for and advocate that they support the election of six female candidates from under-represented regions.
