In particular, we review how these issues relate to the prosecution of sexual and gender-based crimes in Situations under investigation or preliminary examination by the ICC.
This and the next two issues of the Legal Eye on the ICC highlight reparations proceedings at the ICC. With four cases before the Court at the reparations stage, this issue of the focuses on the important developments in the reparations proceedings in the Bemba and Al Mahdi cases. The second issue will examine reparations in the Katanga case, and the third issue of the Legal Eye on the ICC will focus on the reparations proceedings in the Lubanga case.
